Finding Time for Fitness

Finding Time for Fitness

Health is wealth as they say. Health is not about physical aspect, it also includes health in mind that helps us to enjoy life and offers us strength in times of disruption or trouble.

As a business owner, finding the time to pursue fitness goals proves challenging. You have products or services to sell, bills to pay, and people to see. Running a business consumes energy and causes stress. Managing stress through exercise is a worthy pursuit. But considering you (hopefully) have a personal life, where are the opportunities to challenge your body and soothe your mind?
The good news is 30 minutes of physical activity, three times per week, greatly improves physical health. And exercise releases endorphins-chemicals released by the body which are proven to help relieve stress and anxiety, while creating a sense of calm and well-being. Can you find 30 minutes in your day between meetings, dinners, emails and personal obligations? It is easily achieved. Reap the benefits of fitness by following these simple suggestions for incorporating physical activity into your schedule.

Bring Your Sneakers to the Job
Take a walk. Thirty minutes of moderate walking combats heart disease, obesity, diabetes and arterial hardening. If you work on the 1st floor, bust out of the office after a healthy lunch. No matter the setting, walking routes are generally accessible everywhere. Perhaps you work on the 32nd floor. Climbing stairs is an excellent way to get the heart pumping.

Don’t Go It Alone
There is no shortage of fitness classes available. Make time in your weekly schedule for aerobic exercise: dance, boxing, or crossfit training. While these activities provide greater challenges, exercising in a class is a great way to meet people, boost your metabolism and stay motivated.
Consult your calendar and find time for exercise. Plan it as you would that morning strategy meeting. Because it’s vitally important to hone your body as well as your sales skills.
