From Ambition to Action

From Ambition to Action

What differentiates the successful business owners from the dreamers with lost ambitions? Taking action. Whether it’s opening up a restaurant, creating a new invention, or funding a start up, there’s no benefit to business until the action starts. Once the action gets going, the universe seems to go your way more often. It’s amazing how action creates more energy, and then better results start materializing quickly. Some people are tempted to call it magic. We call it taking initiative.

Lots of us have dreams and ambitions, but not everyone will take action. Ambition is the fuel that get’s action going, but it’s not everything. Thomas Edison said “Genius is 1% inspiration and 99% perspiration”. He said this around the time of the development of the right filament to put inside the electric light bulb. He failed hundreds of times before finally succeeding. Action doesn’t guarantee instant success, but it certainly moves you toward it. Thomas Edison developed something that literally shed light on America for a century to come. Amazing, isn’t it?
It makes a HUGE difference in life whether or not you act on your ambitions. Just imagine if Edison had decided that his project wasn’t critical to complete. Dreaming is helpful, because it gives us a good map of which actions we want to take, but it’s not everything. Like Thomas Edison said, it’s really only about 1% of the big picture. Until you act on your dreams, they stay in your head and cannot become a reality. However, as soon as you commit to making it a reality and start acting on your dream, you can literally make it happen. So, why not? Isn’t that why we have a mind to dream with, and we also have hands to make it happen? If you’d like to talk more about how I can help, contact us today.
